USS TULARE AKA-112

at Suisun Bay

May 2004

I will be going to Benicia, CA on October 12, [2004] where the Tulare is located.  I had contacted my senator, Elizabeth Dole, trying to get permission to go aboard and see the Tulare while I am out there.  Due to safety regulations, that has been denied.  They did put me in contact with Mr. Earl Johnson, who works with the reserve fleet.  He has offered to take me on a boat tour of the Tulare and other ships that are located in the harbor.  He also sent one of his employees to take these digital photos for me, since they could not grant my request to go aboard the Tulare.  I agree with you that these are some of the best pictures I have seen of the Tulare since she has been decommissioned.  If I can be of further help, let me know.  Thanks, Max Clubb
