Boxing Smoker 7th Motor Transport Battalion, 1stMarDiv Marines

Photos taken on 27 Feb 66 on the flight deck of the USS Tulare en route to Vietnam.  This impromptu "band" of 3 Marines and 2 Navy crewmen were playing rock and roll and the Gillette "Fight Song" for the previously documented Boxing Smoker.  The sign in front of the band said simply "The Band".  I was playing the trumpet and a Marine from New York City (?Nick) played the drums.
